This special pavilion will provide an interactive tour through real case studies demonstrating the use of 3D printing in various applications including pre-surgery models of bones, ocular prosthetics and prosthetic limbs. The exhibit also will feature a special presentation sponsored by Organovo on bioprinting for human tissue engineering and ground-breaking therapies. The Medical Center will have several other digital and physical displays and be staffed by industry experts and researchers who have hands-on experience working with medical 3D printing to improve lives.

Discover what is possible in large format 3D printing through this amazing display courtesy of Emerging Objects and ExOne, companies that are pushing the envelope to demonstrate just how “big” 3D printing can be. Among other fascinating architectural feats, see the unique and wonderful Saltygloo – an experiment in 3D printing using locally harvested salt from the San Francisco Bay to produce large-scale, lightweight, additive manufactured structures.

Whelk by Bathsheba GrossmanThe show floor will feature a dazzling display of some of the hottest and most inspired 3D printed fine art, jewelry and character sculptures from well-known artists including Bathsheba Grossman, Kevin Mack, Bridgette Mongeon, Jake Hempson, Paul Nylander, Robert Vignone and Alejandro Pereira, among others. These artists also will be on hand to discuss their work, teach other artists about their process, and mingle with attendees.

3D MODELER LIVE DEMOS
3D modelers will showcase their design talents from an interactive demonstration stage on the exhibit floor, modeling 3D printable objects “l(fā)ive” and sharing design techniques and tips with attendees.
